25.6V 280Ah Heavy Truck Parking Battery is a LiFePO4 parking and start battery for trucks, buses and heavy vehicles. The 25.6V 280Ah unit is the largest parking battery in the range, built for heavy trucks and long-distance fleets that run multiple overnight loads. It provides 7.17 kWh of nominal energy at 25.6V (24V class) and weighs approximately 40 kg, replacing lead-acid units of the same group size.
Cell & BMS Technology
The battery uses grade-A prismatic LiFePO4 cells in a 8S1P configuration with a dedicated 8S, 150A BMS. Protection covers over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature events, plus low-temperature charge cut-off to prevent lithium plating in cold weather. Communication is available over RS485 / CAN, Bluetooth optional, and the BMS retains fault and cycle history for fleet maintenance records.
Safety & Cycle Life
LiFePO4 chemistry gives more than 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, several times the service life of lead-acid, with no gassing, no acid handling and no stratification from partial charging. The battery operates between -20C and +60C and is sealed to IP65, so it is unaffected by road spray, dust and vibration.
Charging & Alternator Compatibility
Charging is handled by the vehicle alternator or a mains charger at a recommended voltage of 28.8V and up to 150A. The 150A charge rating supports dual-alternator trucks, and a programmable charge-current limit protects smaller alternators where required. An optional DC-DC charger or isolation relay is available where the vehicle alternator output must be regulated for lithium charging.
Mechanical & Enclosure
The enclosure is sealed steel tray with powder-coated lid with dimensions of 520 x 270 x 230 mm. The tray footprint replaces paired 12V lead-acid boxes in many retrofit applications, with hold-down brackets supplied as standard. Terminals are M10 bolt terminals, matching common OEM and retrofit cable lugs.
Typical Use Cases
Installed on long-haul tractor units, tippers, refrigerated trailers and mining trucks that need overnight air-conditioning, cabin power, refrigeration or crane standby loads without engine idling.
Customisation
Capacity, case size, terminal layout, BMS current rating, heating function, communication protocol and brand labelling can be customised for fleet and distributor programmes. Heated versions with internal heating film are available for cold-climate routes, and parallel connection kits allow two batteries to be combined for larger parking air-conditioner loads.
Every battery is capacity-tested, high-current-tested and balance-tested before shipment. Compliance target standards: UN38.3, IEC 62619, CE and RoHS. Warranty: 3 years / 5 years optional.
